CARSINGTON WATER, PEAK DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK

Carsington Water is the ninth largest reservoir in England and set at the foot of the Peak District National Park (Britain’s first National Park).

The reservoir covers an area of 741 acres, provides a diverse range of watersports and has a purpose built 8-mile cycle track around it.

The site is also part of the National Cycle network and section 54A crosses the site, providing a link to the High Peak and Tissington Trails. Mostly level tracks set on old railway lines both trails have plenty of opportunities to break out on to challenging and testing single tracks with breathtaking views.

The second stop for the Mitsubishi Project ASX campaign we are super excited about what this area has to offer and confident in signing it off as a potential venue for the 2015 event series.
